The village of Sherborne (predominantly National Trust owned and therefore undeniably pretty) is stunning, with nothing but character cottages and buildings everywhere. It also happens to the presiding home of the BBC's famous SpringWatch TV programme too. 

You are surrounded by some of the finest country walks in the Cotswolds, so DO bring your walking shoes. And then? Well, thankfully, you are within a short drive (taxis can be ordered) from some seriously good pubs for lunch and dinner. For the fashionistas you can head to Daylesford Organic Shop where you will find a treasure trove of treats. (15 mins drive)
